According to Google, unique means: “being the only one of its kind; unlike anything else” or “particularly remarkable, special, or unusual”
I believe that everyone is unique, that everyone is unusual, that everyone is beautiful. In their own way. But, not everyone can embrace the uniqueness inside of them.
I spent years to finally realized that I have to embrace the uniqueness in myself, I thought that I already did that, till I realized that I don’t have to do things that other people do just because others do it too, because this is my life, not theirs. I don’t have to do gardening even though I know gardening is good, just because others do gardening, for instance. I don’t have to do things just because of the temporary euphoria I got.
Often times people do things because of the euphoria inside, not because they realize that they do things because it sparks their life. I used to be that person, till I realized that everyone is unique, everyone has a role in this world, everyone take different part in this world.
Why try to be the same while we’re created unique?
Just like a puzzle, if all pieces of puzzle is in the same shape, it will not make a one piece of bigger picture. Humans are part of a massive puzzle, we’re created unique to complete each other. You don’t have to get a tattoo just because all of your bestfriends get one. Do things because it sparks your life, because it makes you realize that you’re worth the life that has been given to you, because it makes you realize that you’re here for something.
We’re equipped with feelings. Happy, sad, angry, confused, nervous, shy, embarrass, awkward, and so on. Utilize them all, it’s totally okay to cry, it’s totally okay to feel awkward or embarrass, because they’re part of your life.
There are things that are beyond our control. Truth is not always nice, often times it hurts, it’s totally okay to feel hurt, we need that. We need all those experiences (happy, sad, comfort, hurt, and so on) so that we can understand who we really are, what we’re here for, what we’re fighting for.
We’re all unique, embrace that. Because once you’re able to embrace yours, other people will do too. Even if others embrace it in the hard way. That’s a process.
Embracing yourself is not easy, it may seems easy, but things that come along in the process of embracing yourself will not make it as easy as what it seems, because good things require effort.
We don’t have to do things that are beyond our capability just because of the temporary euphoria we got. Do things because it sparks your life, because it makes you realize that you’re worth the life that has been given to you, because it makes you realize that you’re here for something. Because we’re part of a massive puzzle, we’re created unique to complete each other.
